The Sport of Dragon Boating
Dragon boating originated from China over 2000 years ago. The sport requires strength, endurance flexibility and lots of spirit!
The boat crew consists of 20 paddlers, one drummer and a helmsman. Paddlers of various ages and skill levels participate in dragon boating.
Together the 20 paddlers display a paddling technique in perfect synchronisation. Races are held over various distances; 200, 500 and 2000 meters.
Today dragon boating is considered as one of the most popular and fastest growing sports in the world.
